Mugabe flies back home, ill Grace Mugabe left behind

President Robert Mugabe is back home from the Far East, where he had gone for holiday on his traditional annual leave.

However, the First Lady, Dr Grace Mugabe did not return with the President.

Mugabe said she has been ill and was discharged from hospital on Tuesday.

Thousands of people gathered at the Harare International Airport to welcome the President, who has been away since December last year.

Apart from the crowds, President Mugabe was welcomed by Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who has been Acting President since December, Vice President Phelekezela Mphoko, service chiefs and other government officials.
