The Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Saviour Kasukuwere took his latest tours of party structures to Masvingo and Manicaland provinces where he told members to shun divisive politicians, and restore the vibrancy of the party.
During special Provincial Coordinating Committee (PCC) meeting at Victoria Primary School in Masvingo, Kasukuwere urged members to observe discipline and unite towards nation-building through implementing government's economic programmes.
He criticised some party bigwigs who abuse their authority by engaging in corrupt and divisive activities.
Kasukuwere also blasted the party's former Secretary for Administration, Didymus Mutasa and his cabal for bringing the Zanu PF name into disrepute by falsely claiming that he was unconstitutionally fired from his post.
There was uproar before the start of the meeting when some party members who were given a vote of no confidence refused to leave the conference room.
It had to take Kasukuwere's intervention for them to eventually leave.
In Manicaland, Kasukuwere addressed the extra-ordinary PCC meeting in Mutare, where he called on the party's leadership to restore the vibrancy of the revolutionary party.
He said swing political pattern which characterised the province over the years should be a thing of the past, adding that the party's leadership and supporters should desist from following individuals but rather support the party and its First Secretary, President Robert Mugabe.
"There is need to speed up the establishment of the Chitepo Ideological College and revive the national youth training service programme in order to give youths proper ideological political orientation," said Kasukuwere.
Politburo member, Oppah Muchinguri said focus should be on rebuilding the province, and expressed hope that the Politburo will respect the wishes of the people of Manicaland who want Didymus Mutasa expelled from the party.
The Acting Provincial Chairperson, Dr Samuel Undenge however said peace and tranquillity now prevail in the province thanks to the removal from leadership of some divisive elements.
The extra-ordinary PCC meetings in Masingo and Manicaland provinces were attended by several members of the Politburo, Central Committee, National Consultative Assembly, provincial executives and war veterans.
