Mphoko blows +$18,000 on hotel accommodation

Newly appointed President Phelekezela Mphoko has so far blown more than US$18 800 just on hotel accommodation in a lengthy stay at the Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare which began mid-December.

Government sources said that the cost of funding the former diplomat's continued stay in one of the hotel's luxurious suites which costs a maximum of US$400 a night could go much higher as government hunts for a new House for Mphoko.

He has already rejected a US43 million house on the grounds that it is too cheap.
