Former Zanu-PF Mashonaland West Provincial chairman Temba Mliswa has been remanded in custody to tomorrow when the magistrate is expected to make a bail ruling.
Chinhoyi magistrate Mr Ignatius Mugova lambasted the defence for coming late to court, saying it was the reason why the proceedings could not be concluded.
"I do not know want to embarrass the defence counsel but had you come on time, I would have delivered the ruling," he said.
The state led evidence from investigating officer Assistant Inspector Masimba Mputa who maintained that Mliswa must not be released on bail as he was likely to interfere with a witness who happens to be his worker at Spring Farm in Karoi.
Mliswa was arrested on Saturday and is facing charges of possession of unlicensed rifles . More details to follow....
