JAILED ROBERT Martin Gumbura's brother, Innocent Erconwel James Gumbura, has appeared in court facing accusation of tax evasion after he allegedly gave a false value of an imported luxurious car from the United States.
Innocent Gumbura was arrested together with Noah Peter Taguta, who resides at No 1 A Merewe Street, Murambi in Mutare.

Circumstances leading to the Gumbura and Taguta's arrest were that sometime in July 2012 Omega Farai Chatyoka, through a Power of Attorney, brought a Toyota Sequoia into the country.
Chatyoka was given the Power of Attorney by her daughter Auxillia Chidoori, according to State.
Reports were that she registered the car in Auxillia's name in the country on the returning resident rebate facility under registration AGO 3422.
It was said that she left the car parked at her house when she returned to USA.
The State also had it that sometime in August 2012, Innocent Gumbura sold the car to Noah Taguta for US$205 000.
On January 3 2013, Taguta and Gumbura, acting in connivance, reportedly prepared an affidavit in the name of Farai Auxillia Chidoori purporting that the car had been sold for US$40 000.
The State alleges that Taguta took the car to ZIMRA and tendered the fake affidavit where the car was assessed anda five percent duty was charged.
As a result of the misrepresentation ZIMRA was prejudiced of UD$8 250 in duty on the imported car.
Gumbura and Tatuga are expected to return to court on February 23 for trial
