Woman scalds hubby's girlfriend with boiling water

A 17-YEAR-OLD jealous woman was arraigned before Mutare magistrate Sekai Chiundura yesterday for allegedly scalding her husband's girlfriend with hot water.

Letwin Chaparadza of Destiny suburb in Mutare was not asked to plead to the assault charge and was remanded to February 10 on free bail.
The State requested to treat the matter as an initial remand as it still wants to get a medical report to ascertain the extent of injuries inflicted on the complainant, Tracy Mukwekwezeke (23).

The State alleges that on January 30 this year, Chaparadza found her husband in a compromising position with the complainant and in a fit of rage boiled hot water and poured it on Mukwekwezeke's chest.

The complainant sustained blisters and was rushed to Mutare General Hospital where she is still admitted.
