'Don't dictate to us,' Chombo tells British delegation

Government says delegations coming into the country seeking investment opportunities should not undermine the country's leadership and dictate how policies should be implemented.
This was said by Local Government, Public Works and National Housing Minister Dr Ignatius Chombo after a British investment delegation paid a courtesy call at his offices in Harare.
Discussions between Dr Chombo and members of the delegation did not yield much following a stand off over Zimbabwe's laws.
Some members of the delegation asked Dr Chombo about the country's indigenisation laws and succession policy.
Dr Chombo maintained that investors must not meddle in the internal politics of Zimbabwe.
"We had an unpleasant dispute when they asked about succession. They want investment and so they must not interfere with the country's politics," he said.
The 19-member delegation, which is sponsored by Invest Africa, comprises 12 companies from different sectors.
This visit comes as a follow up to a British government supported trade mission that came to Zimbabwe in October 2014.
