Grace Mugabe to attend Politburo meeting

The First Lady Amai Grace Mugabe is today expected to attend her inaugural Zanu-PF Politburo meeting since she was appointed the party's secretary for Women Affairs at the 6th National People's Congress in December.

The First Lady did not have the opportunity to attend two Politburo meetings that were held since the December Congress because she was recovering from a minor operation in the Far East.

She returned home on Sunday and declared to thousands of Zanu-PF supporters who welcomed her at Harare International Airport that she was now fit.

Zanu-PF secretary for Administration Ignatius Chombo said in a statement that the meeting will start at 10am.
