Zimbabwe's Parliament erupted in chaos on Wednesday, as MDC-T legislators, led by the party's chief whip Mr Innocent Gonese, sang and danced in parliament after the speaker of parliament Jacob Mudenda ordered MDC MPs Solomon Madzore and Tabitha Khumalo to be ejected from the house.
The commotion was in protest of the order. An updated report will follow as reporters were told to switch off their phones. The August House session was being broadcast live on ZTV.
The commotion takes place less than a week after the South Africa's Parliament erupted in chaos, as security forces dragged from the chamber opposition politicians who interrupted President Jacob Zuma's state-of-the-nation address with calls for him to answer long-standing corruption allegations.
Julius Malema, a former protégé of Mr. Zuma's who entered Parliament last year as the leader of a party opposed to his rule, called for Mr. Zuma to repay a portion of more than $20 million in state funds spent renovating Mr. Zuma's private home.
