The Speaker of Parliament Jacob Mudenda had to suspend business for 10 minutes during questions session without notice on Wednesday after MDC-T legislators disrupted proceedings.

According to ZBC, It all began just when MDC-T legislator, Mr Murisi Zvizvai rose to question the absence of government ministers in the house.

The ministers are expected to give answers every Wednesday but were attending a Zanu PF Politburo meeting.

The presiding speaker in the house, Mabel Chinomona's response that the issue will be looked into seemed unsatisfactory as Kuwadzana legislator, Mr Nelson Chamisa moved a motion to postpone business in the house until the ministers come.

The speaker however shot down the motion, leading to the MDC-T parliamentarians disrupting all proceedings.

The MDC-T leader of business in the house, Mr Innocent Gonese argued that ministers who do not attend the questions without notice session are not only in violation of parliamentary standing orders but also the constitution of Zimbabwe.

After a lengthy commotion that resembled a hive of confusion, the speaker suspended house business for 10 minutes.

When the house resumed, it was only to answer one question and the questions without notice session ended.
