Senators in Mugabe bootlicking drama

Zanu-PF senators have gone a gear up in bootlicking President Robert Mugabe whom they claim to have anointed by God to save Africa.

Congratulating Mugabe on his appointment to chair the AU on Wednesday in Parliament, senators took the bootlicking frenzy to new heights by bestowing their nonagenarian leader a deity status.

Mashonaland East senator Address Matiirira claimed that Mugabe was anointed by God.

"This can only be God because President Mugabe is the anointed one, he was sent by God whether you like it or not but that is the truth," said Matiirira.

Mashonaland Central senator Monica Mavhunga, claimed Mugabe in no longer a human being but an idea which the whole of Africa is following.

However, Rorina Muchihwa, an MDC senator, raised the flag on her excited colleagues telling them that the hugely ceremonial AU chairperson is not for Mugabe but for Zimbabwe as a whole.
