Girlfriend sold out Mutasa

Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa has said that the alleged assassination plot against President Robert Mugabe was exposed by former Zanu PF secretary Didymus Mutasa's girlfriend shortly before the party's congress last December.

Mnangagwa made the remarks last Saturday while launching his wife's Auxillia's political campaign.

He said Mutasa told his girlfriend that he had plans to kill the President indicating that he does not know what excited Mutasa about the girlfriend for him to say that.
