Mugabe birthday protests: 'MDC-T can go hang'

Zanu-PF says the MDC-T can go to hell after the party criticised the reckless splashing of money to the tune of $1 million for the hosting of President Robert Mugabe's birthday at the weekend.
Mugabe's birthday celebrations will be held at the resort town of Victoria Falls on Saturday.
"The MDC-T and their western allies can go hang - literally - for lying to the world that next weekend's celebrations will cost an estimated $1 million. Of course this is nonsense," said Zanu-PF deputy information director Psychology Maziwisa.
"This is a claim that comes from nincompoops who don't know that, unlike Morgan Tsvangirai who is worth much as a human being but very little as a leader, President Mugabe is such a priceless figure, so priceless in fact that even if the celebrations were to cost $999 trillion dollars, that would still be insufficient to express our appreciation for what this extraordinary and remarkable man has done.
"Make no mistake about this: those of us who know President Mugabe's real worth will be in Victoria Falls next weekend praising and thanking God for this special man and celebrating his iconic life animatedly, unashamedly and unapologetically."
In a message to Mugabe, Maziwisa said, "No one has ever expressed quite as well as you have done the importance of standing by what is right and of doing right by one's people- no matter the consequences. If for no other reason, we salute you for this."
