Mujuru ally hauled before disciplinary committee

Zanu PF Kwekwe Central legislator Masango Matambanadzo and eleven other party officials have been hauled before the Midlands party provincial disciplinary committee over charges of violence and various acts of misconduct.
Matambanadzo was late last year involved in fist fights with fellow legislator Owen Ncube and another party official who lost an eye in the process.
Matambanadzo is reportedly part of fired Vice President Joice Mujuru's faction accused of plotting to topple President Robert Mugabe.
Ncube on the other hand belongs to a faction led by Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The purge on Matambanadzo and other officials is believed to be an operation to smoke out all Mujuru allies from the party structures.
