Wife stabs hubby for complaining over late meal

A 33-year-old woman allegedly plunged a kitchen knife into her husband"s ribs after he complained that she was taking too long to cook dinner.
The man is admitted to the Intensive Care Unit at Mpilo Central Hospital following the vicious attack.
Chivaraidzo Matongo allegedly took offence when her husband, Stephen Nyoni (37) demanded to know why they were always eating late.
Matongo appeared before Provincial magistrate Willard Maphios Moyo facing a physical abuse charge.
She was not asked to plead and was remanded out of custody to March 2.
The prosecutor Mufaro Mageza told the court that on Sunday around 11PM, Matongo and her husband Nyoni arrived home from a beer drink and Matongo went to the kitchen to prepare food while Nyoni went to chat with friends.
He said when Matongo called Nyoni to eat; he angrily asked her why she always took so long to cook food.
The court heard Matongo grabbed a knife and stabbed Nyoni, accusing him of being unappreciative.
