Schweppes snub Mugabe

The Zanu PF youth league on Saturday expressed anger at Schweppes after the company allegedly turned down their request for water to be consumed at President Robert Mugabe's birthday bash.
Mugabe turned 91 on 21 February and a birthday bash was held for him at the resort town of Victoria Falls seven days later.
Giving a vote of thanks after the bash, Zanu PF deputy youth league boss Kudzai Chipanga said they were not happy with the conduct of Schweppes.
"I want the President to know that we got a lot of assistance from many companies but there are a few that were not cooperative," Chipanga said.
"We approached Schweppes for water to be drank here but they refused and we wonder why companies that make money in our country fail to support such important events."
