Govt pays 2014 bonuses

Government has started paying state universities 2014 bonuses with the University of Zimbabwe being the first to be paid.
Besides UZ, the Zimbabwe National Statistics Agency also received the bonuses.
The Higher and Tertiary Education ministry announced today that other universities would be paid as soon as treasury availed funds.
Lecturers called off their strike last week after the government promised to pay their bonuses.
