President Robert Mugabe's advanced age, the unresolved succession issue and the meteoric rise of First Lady Grace have factors rocking the Zanu-PF boat and causing it to remain unstable.

This was alleged the party's expelled former secretary for administration Didymus Mutasa and ex-spokesperson Rugare Gumbo in their court challenge of the party's elective congress held last December.

Meanwhile, Mutasa and Gumbo claim in their court application that Grace Mugabe's entrance into formal Zanu-PF politics last year not only destabilised the party, but also allegedly left a trail of destruction.

In the much anticipated application filed on Tuesday afternoon, the two liberation struggle stalwarts are seeking to nullify Zanu-PF's disputed congress.

The two man almost predictably blame Grace for most of the confusion that rocked the party leading to the disputed congress.

Both man claim in their affidavits that Grace sowed the seeds of anarchy that consumed the party then, leading to the brutal purging of several bigwigs including former VP Joice Mujuru and all party officials perceived to be aligned to her.
