Air Zimbabwe boss accuses Goche
06 Mar 2015 at 08:53hrs | Views
Former Air Zimbabwe Chief Executive Officer Peter Chikumba yesterday accused former Transport minister Nicholas Goche and the airline's board chairman Jonathan Kadzura of engineering his arrest on trumped up fraud charges as a way of denying him an opportunity to claim terminal benefits following his resignation.
Chikumba told Harare Magistrate Fadzai Mtombeni that he was the first chief executive in the history of the airline to leave on his own volition and his principals may not have taken that kindly.
Chikumba is jointly charged with Air Zimbabwe's former legal secretary Grace Pfumbidzayi (49) on allegations of defrauding the national airline of millions of dollars in an insurance scam.
