Cannabis gives me stamina to work - accused tells court

A 23 year old man from Binga Crocodile compound farm charged with possession of cannabis left the court in stitches when he said the illegal drug gives him stamina to do his work perfectly.

Last Mudenda pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis when he appeared before Binga resident magistrate Stephen Ndlovu. The magistrate warned, cautioned and discharged him.

The prosecutor Bruce Maphosa told the court that on February 20 this year police went to Binga Crocodile Compound at Chilila area where they found Mudenda with ten grams of cannabis. This lead to his arrest.

When asked in court what was he using cannabis for, he said, "I smoke it, it gives me stamina to do my work."

"You must know that cannabis is not allowed never do it again," said the magistrate.
