Zimbabwe bound German tourists up 31%

Zimbabwe has seen a significant growth in tourist arrivals from Europe in 2014 compared to 2013, with Germany contributing the most, deputy Tourism minister Walter Kanhanga said.

This comes as the latest report by ZTA revealed that tourist arrivals into Zimbabwe went up four percent to 1,4million in the nine months to September 30, 2014 from 1.3 million in the same period in 2013.

The report also indicated that out of the five key source markets for Zimbabwe, only Asia region recorded a six percent drop in arrivals.

The rest of the regions recorded significant increases compared to the previous comparative period in 2013.
