Man soils self at court

A MBARE man soiled himself at the Harare Magistrates' Court where he had been taken on charges of stealing a cellphone and cash on Monday.
Fungai Mupatsi, 30, was being vetted at the provincial courts' set down office when 'nature' called.
It's either Fungai was scared following his arrest or he was having a running tummy as it led him to poop in his pants.
A stench engulfed tire vetting office and when it was evident that Fungai was responsible, he was visibly embarrassed, and he could only utter the words, "officer ndatoshata".
The cop who had taken Fungai to court had a hard time removing the handcuffs from Fungai as it seemed the cuffs had been stained.
When Fungai soiled his pants, it was a bad omen, as it were, as he went on to be jailed for two months.
He readily pleaded guilty to the offence of theft and he was initially handed a five months jail term, before the court suspended two months on condition that within the coming five years, he is not convicted of a similar offence.
Another month was suspended on condition that he pays back the complainant's $10 he stole which was not recovered.
State, led by prosecutor Progress Maringamoyo, proved that last week on Monday, Fungai was at his 'hunting' ground at Gulf Complex alongside his two colleagues who are on the run.
They then approached Tatenda Matambanadzo.
The gang pretended to know Tatenda and they shook his hand while they also carefully searched his pockets, stealing his cellphone and $10.
When Tatenda checked his pockets, he realised that he had been tricked and he called a cop who was nearby and the latter managed to arrest Fungai.
Only the cellphone was recovered.
