The Harare Civil Court was left stunned yesterday when a woman told the magistrate that her stepson was in the habit of connecting a hosepipe and watering her furniture each time they quarrel.
Janet Banga claimed Bradwell was also denying her access to water at a plot where they stay together.
Banga was seeking a protection order against Bradwell whom she accused of verbally abusing her.
"He connects a hosepipe and waters my entire room and furniture whenever we have a misunderstanding," she said.
Banga told magistrate Mr Trevor Nyatsanza that Bradwell was also in the habit of influencing their tenants to disrespect her and to deny her access to water.
"I want the court to grant my application because I am sick and tired of being abused by him.
"He also took away my particulars and is refusing to give them back to me," said Banga.
Bradwell denied the allegations levelled against him by Banga saying no one was restricted or denied access to water at the plot.
"I don't even go to her room but she is claiming that I connect a hosepipe and water her furniture which is a lie," he said.
Mr Nyatsanza dismissed Banga's application due to lack of merit and ordered the two to go and solve their dispute amicably.
