Deborah Bronnert, who saw the start of the Arab uprisings in North Africa and the Middle East is the the new United Kingdom ambassador in Harare.
Brommet says she is excited to be taking up her new post in Zimbabwe, and has pledged to improve relations between the two countries.
She says she is honoured and delighted to be taking up this post at such an important time for Zimbabwe, as the parties in the inclusive government work towards greater reform and free and fair elections.
"The UK has long been a friend to the Zimbabwean people and I look forward to ensuring that that commitment remains as strong as ever," said Bronnert in the UK Foreign Office magazine.
Bronnert, who is yet to present her credentials to President Mugabe as per diplomatic norms, takes over from Mark Canning, who has been reassigned to the Far East.
