Thomas Mapfumo denies planning protest

Chimurenga musician Thomas Mapfumo has dismissed outrightly reports alleging that he is working with former PM Morgan Tsvangirai's MDC to destabilize Zimbabwe.

This comes as the State media yesterday claimed Mapfumo is part of a shadowy committee set up by Morgan Tsvangirai's MDC to create havoc in the country and force an early election. However Mapfumo's publicist, Blessing Vava, yesterday dismissed the claims as high sounding gibberish.

"It's rubbish and malicious! Dr Mapfumo is a musicians and not a politician," said Vava.

He is neither aligned nor affiliated to any political party in Zimbabwe.

However his wish is for the people of Zimbabwe to enjoy freedom, work together to rebuild Zimbabwe, and he will always fight for good governance, respect for the rule of law, something he has been doing through his music over the years.
