Mass protests planners threatened

Zanu-PF Secretary for Administration Dr Ignatius Chombo has advised Zimbabweans to be vigilant so as not to be tricked into destabilising the country through mass protests being agitated for by MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai.

A number of organisations affiliated to the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions are reportedly forcing workers to embark on demonstrations over salary increments.

The MDC-T party has also spoken on plans to demonstrate across the country.

Dr Chombo, however, describes Tsvangirai as a myopic and clueless leader who has failed to come up with a proper strategy for the development of the country.

He said Zimbabweans should remain vigilant and never  be used for political expediency as any forces that work to destabilise the country will be dealt with decisively.

Politicians and workers unions are alleged to be hatching plans of mass demonstrations across the country on the basis of low salaries.

Experts have, however, maintained that the economy can not sustain any salary increments at the moment.
