Mugabe declares 14 constituencies vacant, orders by-elections

President Robert Mugabe has declared 14 constituencies vacant and has ordered by-elections to be held on the 10th of June 2015.
The President made the proclamation in a Statutory Instrument 39 of 2015 in terms of Section 129 (1) (k) of the constitution of Zimbabwe.
14 constituencies namely Harare East, Kambuzuma, Glen View South, Dzivaresekwa, Highfield, Kuwadzana, Pumula, Makokoba, Luveve, Tsholotsho North, Lobengula, Mpopoma-Pelandaba, Mbizo and Chikanga-Dangamvura are now vacant after President Mugabe made the proclamation.
The nomination courts will sit on the 16th of April 2015 at 10 am.
In Harare, the nomination court for Harare East, Kambuzuma, Glen View South, Dzivaresekwa, Highfield and Kuwadzana will sit at Rotten Row Magistrates Court.
The nomination court for Tsholotsho North will be at the Magistrates' Court, Tredgold building in Bulawayo while those for Pumula, Makokoba, Luveve, Lobengula and Mpopoma-Pelandaba will also be at the same building but in Court 5.
In Mutare, the nomination court will sit at the Magistrates' Court for the Chikanga-Dangamvura constituency.
For the Mbizo constituency, the nomination court will sit at the Magistrates' Court in Gweru on the same day, the 16th of April.
The constituencies fell vacant when the MDC-T recalled 21 legislators from parliament.
Parliament then expelled them from the august house.
Seven others had been elected through proportional representation.
