Charamba day dreaming on succession, says Coltart

Zimbabwean lawyer-cum politician David Coltart has dismissed President Mugabe's spokesperson- George Charamba claims that the controversial Zanu PF succession problem has been resolved with the expulsion of Joyce Mujuru.
Coltart said it was shear wishful thinking and succession was far from being over.
Zanu PF succession issue has been on the cards- though at times unofficially for years with Mujuru heavily tipped to take over from the 91 year old Mugabe.
However, Mujuru was kicked out last Thursday.
"President Mugabe's press secretary, and therefore official spokesman, George Charamba, aka Manheru, made some startling admissions last Saturday April 4 in the following article published in the Herald, namely that:
"1. "putsches in ZANU PF have ALWAYS" been "bloody affairs". Whilst this is hardly news to most in Zimbabwe it confirms what we have always argued about ZANU PF - that it has an inherently violent character.
"2. The purges within ZANU PF are far from over and anyone vaguely linked to Mujuru will be chased out.
"4. Mugabe "has discharged a key assignment to do with succession" - in other words Mugabe has decided that Emmerson Mnangagwa will be ZANU PF's next leader. Once again this may not seem to be news to many it does put to rest the line taken by President Mugabe that "the people" ie party members, are still to decide who that person will be" wrote Coltart on his facebook page.
He added, "The problem with Charamba's argument is that whilst he may think that the succession issue has been resolved this is nothing other than wishful thinking. It may be resolved within the Mnangagwa camp but that hardly reflects what the overwhelming majority of Zimbabweans have in mind".
