A STRANGER whose motive was unknown allegedly intruded into female neighbours' room at night while the women were sleeping leading to his arrest.
This was heard by a Bulawayo magistrate Isheunesu Matova sitting at the Mbembesi circuit court when Cannan Mpofu of Mafanisa line in Ntabazinduna appeared before her charged with unlawful entry into premises.
He was not asked to plead to the charge and was remanded out of custody to a further date for trial.
The court heard that on March 30 this year at 12:30 midnight Mpofu broke into Samantha Ngwenya's home in Nama Line village in Ntabazinduna while Ngwenya and her sister Lilian Ngwenya were sleeping.
Lilian detected the intruder and screamed leading to occupants in the hut waking up and arresting Mpofu right inside their bedroom. They then took him to the police where he was locked up.
The motive of his breaking into to Ngwenya's home has not yet been established as he has not yet been asked to plead or to reveal why he did so.
