Mavambo Kusile Dawn condolence message on the death of General Mujuru

The Interim President of Mavambo.Kusile.Dawn (M.K.D) Party, Dr. Simba Makoni, the National Management Committee (NMC) and the entire membership of the Party, convey heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Joyce Mujuru and the whole Mujuru family, and to the nation of Zimbabwe; on the sad and untimely death of General Solomon 'Rex Nhongo' Mujuru (Rtd). We join the nation in mourning a true national leader.

General Mujuru's contribution to the liberation of Zimbabwe, and its development after independence, is immeasurable. He was a fearless combatant, shrewd tactician, master strategist, as well as exemplary national leader. Zimbabwe has been robbed of a great military commander, with unwavering dedication to his country, and an enduring commitment to the upliftment and well being of its citizens.

General Mujuru was a unifier and pacifier. He belonged to all Zimbabwe, not one political party, not one area or province, not one social class. Even as he was a prominent national leader, he was also close to the people.

Your untimely departure has left a huge void in our nation, which will be very difficult to fill.

'Rex Nhongo' will be sadly missed by all. Indeed a giant has fallen. We salute you gallant patriot. You have left an indelible mark in the hearts of all Zimbabweans, and have earned yourself a prominent place in the history of Zimbabwe.
