A Zvishavane man, Mkulunyelwa Ndlovu (40) of Makwasha Suburb assaulted his wife of bending her back in front of men at a funeral thereby suggestively exposing her bums and hips to them.
According to Masvingo Mirror, later that evening Ndlovu further accused his wife of having a wet private part claiming that she had already slept with another man.
He started assaulting his wife while lying on top of her and head butted her several times, the paper reported.
Ndlovu admitted in court that he accused his wife of not bathing and of being wet and smelly under her legs.
It is the State's case that on March 9, 2015 and at around 8pm Ndlovu and Mpofu retired to bed and the accused instructed his wife to remove all her clothes so that he could make love to her.
After removing the clothes the accused reminded the complainant that he had seen her cooking and bending her back in an inviting manner to men who were at the funeral.
Ndlovu then assaulted his wife several times on the head and face with fists and head butted her.
Mpofu told the court that her husband accused her of behaving like a prostitute.
In his defence the accused told the court that he never assaulted the complainant but he only reminded her to bath.
