Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) top brass has dispelled speculation that's it collects huge amounts of cash and pledged to reveal all revenue inflows.

Board Chairman, Albert Mugabe said they are completing a comprehensive report on how funds are collected and used especially tollgates revenue.

"Most people think Zinara has got a lot of money, which is not true. The problem is lack of information to the public. Infact all the money we collect goes back to the road," said Mugabe.

He added "we will be releasing documents showing what we collect and where that money goes for the public to scrutinise.

"We have already complied something explaining what we have collected so far in 2015 and who received what."

Recently, Transport and Infrastructure Development Minister  said revenue collected by Zinara is not enough to be distributed to all road authorities saying the funds are now being disbursed by a select committee.

Addressing a Road Authorities Planning and training workshop in Bulawayo, Mpofu said road authorities need to develop new strategies of mobilising resources.
