Government has suspended bonus payments for 2015, 2016 and promised to review the payments in 2017 to allow government to implement ZimAsset.

This was announced by finance minister Patrick Chinamasa who urged the people to adjust to the country available means.

Chinamasa said the government has embarked on programmes meant to stabilise the country economy through the funding that would have been channeled to bonuses.

He said the government is committed to paying its employees bonuses but the current economic crunch scuttles the process.

The move has sparked outcry from the government workers who say that it is discouraging them to work whole heartedly saying that this will lead to poor production and service provision.

They stated that the move is ill-timed and the Zanu PF government portrays its failure to service its people by so doing.
