A 38-year-old Zaka gardener sneaked into his master's main house and caressed the hips of the maid who was fast asleep.
Peter Madyambwa from Madyambwa Village under Chief Nyakunhuwa in Zaka was caught in the maid's room at midnight.
According to Masvingo Mirror, Madyambwa and the complainant Miriam Matenga (21) were employed at Plot number 38 Sanangwe under Chief Chikwanda in Masvingo as gardener and maid respectively.
Magistrate Langton Ndokera slapped Madyambwa with a three months jail term.
Ndokera heard that on March 14, 2014 at midnight, Madyambwa went to the complainant's room where he found her asleep.
Upon realising that the complainant was asleep Madyambwa drew closer to the complainant's bed and fondled Matenga's hip bone and shin.
Matenga woke up to this disturbance and lit the room to see who the trespasser was and that's when she recognised Madyambwa.
She then questioned why the accused had invaded her room to caress her.
The confused gardener told the maid that he had come to check on her to see whether she was safe.
