Zimbabwe energy conference scheduled for next month
Zimbabwe is scheduled to host its first-ever international energy and power conference with over 400 local and international experts expected to attend.
The initiative is a partnership between the government and the private sectors, includes and involves international companies like Total, Su-Kam, Schweitzer Energy Laboratories and Copperbelt Energy.
According to Tipei Lorata, administrator at Convex Exhibition Services who are organising the conference, the theme of the event is: "Driving investment in the Zimbabwe power and energy sectors and promoting clean/renewable energy technologies for industrial applications in energy-intensive sectors."
The conference comes at a time Zimbabwe is making strenuous efforts to climb out of the dark pits it found itself in after a decade of political and economic challenges.
