Junior Researcher/Conference Producer-  (3 months project)

A temporary vacancy has arisen for a Researcher at a business Intelligence Company based in the South of Johannesburg

The Task
Tasks of this position can include, but aren't necessarily limited to:

Research - Develop topics of interest based on issues and emerging trends that currently surround the industry.

Speaker Recruitment - Decide which influencers and industry experts are best suited for the conference, reach out to them and negotiate terms of the contract.

Promotion - Promote and publicize events on various media channels.

Direction - Supervise the event and all staff to ensure the conference runs smooth

Requirements
•    To be an effective conference producer, candidates must have great communication skills, be able to think fast on their feet and be able to deliver results. Speaking, listening and writing are crucial to this position because you have to be able to express what you want to achieve in a timely fashion. You're constantly putting out fires and need to think of ways to resolve issues quickly, both leading up to and on the day of the event. Motivation and the ability to work independently is a must to see the project through to the end.
