A Chitungwiza woman attacked her rival with high heeled shoes on the eye in a misunderstanding over food.
Ever Chagonda will perform 420 hours of community service for assaulting Severia Chirinda who is her husband's first wife.
The court heard that on April 4, Chirinda returned from Sanyati where she is said to have gone to seek medical attention, H-Metro reported.
The two ladies had a misunderstanding after Chirinda had told Chagonda to give a relative food.
Harsh words were exchanged and Chagonda waited for her rival to go to bed before pouncing on her.
She grabbed a high heel shoe and struck Chirinda on the eyes and further attacked her with a piece of firewood on her ribs.
Chirindsa sustained serious injuries.
