Opposition MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai is due to leave for Germany on Monday to launch another diplomatic offensive to highlight political and economic failures of Zanu PF.

On Friday during the Workers' Day celebrations, Tsvangirai said the economic crisis should escalate before it normalizes.

His spokesperson Luke Tamborinyoka confirmed his boss trip.

"It's part of the diplomatic offensive and its purpose is purely diplomatic engagement. Germany is the country's good friend and has always been willing to engage and the good news is that their position on Zimbabwe has been consistent, especially over the implementation of our own constitution," Tamborinyoka told the Standard.

"He will be meeting with officials at a very high level."

Tsvangirai has embarked on several regional and international diplomatic offensives in a bid to seek assistance and mobilise resources towards campaigns to remove Zanu PF's Robert Mugabe from power.

Tsvangirai has been to the United Kingdom, the US and several African countries.

However, very little has been achieved by the trips.
