Zanu-PF national spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo has said the continued attack on the First Family and the revolutionary party's leadership by the private media sympathetic to former Vice President Joice Mujuru should stop forthwith.

The private media, especially the Daily News, has in the past days been awash with stories criticising President Mugabe quoting expelled Zanu-PF members Messrs Didymus Mutasa and Rugare Gumbo.

NewsDay joined the bandwagon yesterday through a lead story claiming that there were rifts in Zanu-PF's Manicaland leadership.

Khaya Moyo said in a statement that the stories were false, adding that Mutasa's claims about Zanu-PF and President Mugabe were hogwash.

He said there was only one Zanu-PF led by President Mugabe. Khaya Moyo said Zanu-PF is intact and its focus is on growing the economy.
