A Karoi villager who was allegedly assaulted by former Zanu-PF legislator Temba Mliswa's driver has vowed to "do a one man demonstration until my justice is done."

The villager Kudzai Gasho claims that he was assaulted on 28 December 2014 by Mliswa's driver until he was unconscious and despite reporting the matter to the police he has continued to receive threats from his assailant and his colleagues.

Gasho said after some months he wrote a letter to the Officer in Charge Karoi urban registering his concerns that his assailant has not been arrested and walking scot free. No follow up has been made on his first letter and he has since written another letter to the Karoi Prosecutor in Charge.

Kudzai Gasho's letter reads:

The Prosecutor in Charge
Karoi Magistrate Court

RE: ASSAULT DOCKET CR 131/12/14

The above matter refers I reported a case of assault against the accused on CR 131/12/14 in December 2014 at Karoi Police Station.

On numerous visit to the police to make a follow up on the case I did not get positive feed back. On the 17th of April I wrote a letter to the Officer in charge Karoi urban asking for the position of my case. The officer in charge told me the docket had been sent to court for an assessment from the prosecutor and they were waiting for the court date. I was told that I will be informed by summons.

May you kindly assist through your office that justice is done. I have no positive feedback on the current position of my case. It is commonly accepted that justice delayed is justice denied.

This letter I dropped in person to the prosecutors office and was received by PP Dumingu who professed some ignorance about the proceedings of the case but later checked on their log book of dockets that came in from the police last month, he showed me that the docket had been brought and signed back to the station by an officer named Chipisa on the 20th of April last month and that the accused full names are Munyaradzi Oshipeya. I was not told the position of the case but was refereed to the police station for the facts the pp wrote on that docket.

I phoned the police and was told the docket was declined for prosecution and here we are actually surprised by the prosecutors remarks you should come and see, but the case was closed, I have been proved how power can swallow justice BUT I WILL NOT GIVE-UP ON MY QUEST FOR JUSTICE ON MY CASE, I am approaching your media forum to assist me by publishing my full story I want to do a one man demonstration till my justice is done I know if Mashonaland is corrupted by the Mliswas the whole country is not and somehow justice can still be done.
