NRZ goods train derail

A goods train transporting fertiliser and wheat from Dabuka to Harare derailed near Norton on Monday afternoon, destroying part of the consignment.

National Railways of Zimbabwe (NRZ) public relations manager Fanuel Masikati confirmed the incident in an interview yesterday, saying investigations to ascertain its cause were still underway.

Masikati said the goods train had 10 wagons when the accident occurred. He said they expected to have fixed the railway line by last night.
