South Africa should help sort out the mess in Zimbabwe

Migrant Workers' Association representative Butholezwe Nyathi has said the Zimbabwe's problems are the creation of South Africa through the former President Thabo Mbeki and they are supposed to be assisting it in its problems.

"It is their creation through the Mbeki so called quiet diplomacy...a wrong position that he took, synonymous to the position he took on the issue of HIV/AIDS," said Nyathi.

"We remain unapologetic that the SA administration of Mr Mbeki that sent Phumuzile Mlambo-Ngcuka and Mr Mbembathisi Mdladlane to observe elections and declare the outcome of the 2002 elections as legitimate prolonged our suffering."

He said many lives have been lost due to the reverse gear engaged by Zimbabwe since year 1997 when someone just woke up on that black Friday and decided to give $50000 to 'war veterans' and let his friends loot the so called compensation fund.

"We shall not be fooled that our suffering started with the imposition of the so called sanctions," he said.

"What about the unplanned DRC war? Whose interest were we protecting...what did we gain? Who pumped out the billions spent there? What about upholding of our rights, what about the Constitution that has been raped left, right and centre by the Mugabe regime? What about the absence of peace and harmony disrupted by the terror tactics brought by the brainwashed Border Gezi graduates who were serving Zanu-pf, how much cost should we attach to that because the absence of peace has affected our thinking and progress...so do they think we can be fooled? If I were to say this in Zimbabwe, I would be the next Itai Dzamara who has disappeared for saying the truth."

Nyathi said South Africa should help sort out the mess they passively or actively created against the millions of peace loving Zimbabweans voters who have always voted against the oppressive regime of their friends in Zanu-pf.

"We continue to engage the situation, knowing fully went that the State apparatus of the Zimbabwean and African intelligence communities is watching over us the same way the colonialists and apartheid apparatus used to watch and label our brothers and sisters who were fighting for our liberation. Aluta continua!!!" he said.
