MDC-T senior member Job Sikhala has challenged Zimbabweans to divorce from political hate which has seen violence escalate especially during election time.

He accused a political commentator usually used by the ZBC of calling the MDC-T as the Gumburas

"I wonder when our people will mature to divorce themselves from the politics of hate and show some resemblance of maturity," said Sikhala.

"My brother Julius Mangongera has decided against all wise counsel to desist from provocative and insulting politics of hate by continuously labeling millions of those who support Morgan Tsvangirai as MaGumbura. We thought he will grow away from such immaturity but he is undeterred and more determined to pursue that path. I once talked to his friend and my brother Billy Tanhira to talk maturity to my brother Mangongera to quit that politics of hate but Mukoma Billy told me that Mangongera doesn't listen to anyone. He said he just listens to his own voice."

He said his question to Mukoma Julius is if he finds productive to label the whole supporters of of a political party with such derogatory name calling? "Does he know the saying that there are no permanent enemies in politics that it will be possible that we will one day work together again?" said Sikhala.

"I have never heard him for sometime labeling ZANU PF supporters or their leader with unpleasant name calling, so does it mean to say that he hates those whom he worked with for the past 15 years more than ZANU pf? I think it's high time all of us should desist from this politics inspired by sheer hate!"
