Scores of Central Intelligence Organization (CIO) members have descended in Hurungwe West constituency temporarily evicting teachers from their houses as they have camped to drum up support  for Zanu PF by-election candidate Keith Guzha.

Progressive Teachers Union of Zimbabwe secretary general Raymond Majongwe said the move is illegal.

"Headmasters were given instructions to accommodate people believed to be CIOs at schools and information coming from our members on the  ground indicates that security agents have been deployed to some school displacing teachers from their houses, a situation that is unpleasant," said Majongwe.

Some of the affected schools include Nyamhunga, Chiroti and  Matau primary schools and Zvimanjo Secondary School.

Guzha is facing former Zanu PF member, Temba Mliswa who is standing as an independent
