Man in court for stealing neighbour's pig

A man from Umguza in Matabeleland North who stole a neighbour's pig has been dragged to court charged with stock theft.

Thobekani Moyo (24) pleaded not guilty to the stock theft charge when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Tawanda Muchemwa. the magistrate remanded him in custody to 15 May for judgement .

The court heard that on March  28 this year during the night Moyo went to Melusi  Ndlovu's homeat a farm and forced open the door of the pig sty. He stole one pig and went away with it.  

The owner discovered that one pig was missing in the morning and made a report to the police.

He later got information that Moyo and other two were seen selling pig meat.

Investigations led to Moyo's arrest and the two others who are not named are still at large. The stolen pig worth $210.
