MDC-T threatens to approach Con Court

The MDC-T has threatened to approach the ConCourt to challenge the passage of the RBZ Debt Assumption Bill which sailed in the National Assembly on Tuesday despite vehement arguments on the procedures from the opposition benches.

MDC-T spokesperson Obert Gutu said Zanu-PF abused its parliamentary majority to rail road the Bill despite clear legal provisions which say interested parties should rescue themselves in debate and voting on matters they have a direct interest in.

 Gutu said the tax payers to foot the bill for private debts were illegal and immoral, especially from the poor citizens struggling to survive in a comatose economy.
