Businessman's vicious dogs tear daughter's throat open

A 11 year old Zvishavane girl was mauled by his father's three vicious beasts after being attacked and shred her throat open.

Mallina, a daughter of prominent Zvishavane businessman, Robby Tafira died on Sunday after the attack.

According to Masvingo Mirror, Mallina who stayed in Rutanyu Village in Dare under Chief Gororo in Chivi had gone to collect money for fees from her father.

The father is according to the sources separated from the girl's mother Vongai Gwapedza who is said to be now staying in South Africa. Mollina attended Dare Primary School in Chivi.

The publication said the three dogs are kept locked away during the day and let loose into the yard during the evenings.

Mallina allegedly ventured into the yard early in the morning without realising that the dogs were still roaming free.

She is said to have been attacked just after leaving the door and the attack was so vicious that the dogs tore her throat open.

It is said that the father tried to rescue his daughter from the attack but in vain as the dogs also went after him and suffered minor injuries.

Neighbours had to join in but the damage was already done.

The dogs were put down veterinary department officials on the same day.
