Sally and Grace Mugabe ousted Mujuru

Political Commentator and media scholar Pedzisai Ruhanya said both the first ladies Sally and Grace ousted Joice Mujuru from positions in order to gain entry into politics and that seem to have become a trend.

Ruhanya said at the 1984, Zanu-PF Congress, Joyce Mujuru was toppled by the late First Lady Sally Mugabe as Secretary of Woman's Affairs.

He said Emmerson Mnangagwa (Ngwena) was the Minister of State Security in the Office of the Prime Minister (RG Mugabe).

"ED (Mnangagwa) and RG (Robert Mugabe) plotted to have the late Sally enter active party position politics," said Ruhanya.

"Thirty years later (2014) First Lady Dr. Amai announces entry into active party politics ; leads the overthrow of Joyce Mujuru. RG and ED being the real plotters. ED gets appointed to VP by RG without election.Those not persuaded that the strong relations between RG and ED can lead to ED being the heir to the throne in ZANU PF should review their analyses. For now, ED is one leg in!", wrote Ruhanya on his facebook wall.

Ruhanya said there is no argument but was just connecting some dots that are subject to confirmation or information.

Ruhanya said this is a narration of critical events that can lead to some formulation of hypothetical statements to guide people like you who want to frame arguments on political processes.

Mujuru was ousted from her post and the national and party vice president after repeated calls by Grace to resign of face expulsion of which it later happened that she was expelled from both government and the party.
