Mugabe gets another trip to Togo

Togo's Foreign Minister, Mr Robert Dussey has paid  a courtesy call on the Acting President, Emmerson Mnangagwa where he delivered an invitation for President Robert Mugabe to attend a Maritime Security Conference in Togo towards the end of this year.

The security conference will be held in Lome, Togo in November this year.

Mr Dussey hailed the role played by African Union (AU) Chairperson, President Mugabe, in fostering continental peace and security.

Togo is one of the countries on the gulf of Guinea that are regularly subject to pirate attacks and various forms of drugs and arms trafficking on its coastline.

The West African country is seeking a Pan-African solution to these challenges.
