Mnangagwa, Grace Mugabe face-off

The decision to back Terence Mukupe could backfire on Mnangagwa as Grace Mugabe did not know anything about the move.

Zanu-PF second secretary and acting president Emmerson Mnangagwa declared Terence Mukupe as the party's legitimate candidate for Harare East a decision echoed by spokesperson Simon Khaya Moyo.

Mukupe won an open and transparent primary election while Mavis Gumbo lost but Grace Mugabe is in support of Mavis Gumbo.

Party official Cleveria Chizema says Grace and herself as the most senior people were not told of the decision to back Mukupe.  

But it's not a G40 thing as Mukupe is said to enjoy a long standing business relationship with Mnangagwa.
